Audrey Toll Obituary Houston TX, Mother of Emmy Award-winning Journalist Dominique Sachse Passes Away
Audrey Toll, a journalist and Emmy Award recipient, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023. Dominique Sachse was her child. She was an adored mother of Ashkenazi Jewish ancestry. Dominique Sachse claims her mother, Audrey Toll, died unexpectedly last Thursday while out for dinner with friends. According to the Author, Audrey was transported to the hospital and placed in an artificially induced coma while under the care of Hospice.
Audrey’s status at the hospital was revised this morning to “deceased.” She was surrounded by the people who meant the most to her. It’s possible I’ve never mentioned it before, but my mother’s Ashkenazi Jewish ancestors immigrated to the United States from Ukraine in the early 1900s. The family had gone all the way from Odessa, which is located on Ukraine’s southern border.
The second image shows my grandfather as a little child sitting on his mother’s lap as an infant. He was a naturalized American citizen who was born and reared in the United States. Following their arrival in Philadelphia and subsequent residence, their surname was shortened to Toll.
Kyiv is where my grandmother’s family is from. She was known as Pritzker before going to the United States. She and her husband settled in Philadelphia, where they learned English and explored options available only in this country.
