Biography:

Gabrielle Anwar was born on February 4, 1970 in Laleham, Middlesex, England, UK. She is the daughter of actress Shirley Hills and award-winning film producer Tariq Anwar. She enrolled at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in London to study dance and drama.

She made her acting debut in 1986 with the miniseries Hideaway. She has since starred in other shows including The Storyteller, First Born, Summer’s Lease, and Press Gang, among others.

In 1991, she starred in her first Hollywood movie, playing the role of Mariska Blade in the feature If Looks Could Kill. One of her most remarkable scenes on screen was in the 1992 movie Scent of a Woman.
