Biography:

Laura Harring was born on March 3, 1964 in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico. She traveled to Switzerland to study at Aiglon College when she was 16. When she returned to the US, she joined beauty pageants. She won Miss El Paso USA, and then Miss Texas USA, eventually winning the title of Miss USA 1985. In 1989, she made her film debut in Silent Night, Deadly Night 3: Better Watch Out!.

She also acted in the 1990s with appearances in the films Exit to Eden and Black Scorpion II: Aftershock. In 2001, she gained recognition as an actress for her role as Rita in David Lynch’s Mulholland Drive. She next starred in John Q and Derailed. Afterwards, she played Livia Saint in The Punisher. In the late 2000s, she appeared in the films Nancy Drew and Love in the Time of Cholera.
