Marshall Martin, who competed in the Ironman, was mourned by his family, friends, coworkers, and fellow competitors.
Martin passed away on Monday as a result of injuries he sustained while competing in the Chattanooga Half Ironman last Sunday, according to CaringBridge, an online platform for exchanging health-related updates. Martin has reportedly been a devoted triathlete for over 30 years, according to his Facebook.
He was a friend, brother, husband, and father.
