In the presence of his loved ones and friends,Matt Bumgarner , 37, of 2024 Laurel Avenue, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2005 at Mercy Hospital.
The son of Jerry and Muriel (Walhovd) Bumgarner, he was born in Janesville on May 12, 1967.
He earned a degree in political science and criminal justice from U-W Parkside in Kenosha in 1991 after graduating from Parker High School in 1985.
Joel was presently employed by the US Post Office in Madison as a mail carrier. He had previously worked as a carrier supervisor at the Janesville Post Office and a supervisor in customer service.
Prior to moving to Madison, Joel served as the postmaster at the Afton post office. On June 12, 2004, in Janesville, he wed Cindy McDermott.
The Rev. Judi Huseth will preside over the funeral services on Friday, April 29, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church. In Milton Lawns Memorial Park, there was a burial.
