Le Sueur County authorities reported that a body recently discovered is likely to be that of a missing 25-year-old man who vanished in December.

On December 13, 2022, Cleveland Township resident Shawn M. Mooring vanished. In Cleveland Township’s cattails and trees along Silver Lake’s southeast side, search teams discovered a body early on Friday.
The Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Office stated that Shawn Mooring’s body was likely the one found.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office will perform an autopsy on the deceased in order to determine the precise cause of death and confirm formal identification.
Mooring left his house on foot and vanished during what appears to be a mental health crisis.
The sheriff’s office claimed in December that although it had combed the neighborhood, looked through social media accounts, and examined bank records, nothing had turned up at the time.
