Biography:

Sam Reid was born on 19 February 1987 in New South Wales, Australia. He lived in New York for a brief period before going to London to study acting. There, he attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, completing his studies in 2010. Initially, he made his debut back in 2007 when he was still in Australia, appearing in an episode of All Saints.

In London, he auditioned for the film Anonymous, where he landed the role of the Earl of Essex. Released in 2011, this became his cinematic debut. He next appeared in the Hollywood miniseries Hatfields & McCoys and in the British TV film Endeavour. He went on to land roles in the films The Railway Man, Belle, Serena, and The Riot Club. In 2015, he portrayed John Glenn on the show The Astronaut Wives Club.
