Who Was 8 Year-old-Cheerleader Macie Hill?

Macie Hill, an 8-year-old cheerleader participating in a Utah Fourth of July parade, was killed when the float her team was riding on was hit by another vehicle.

Hill was on the float with her Patriot Cheer team when a Hummer from the Kaysville Parade collided with it.

First responders rushed over to assist her.
She was taken to Layton Parkway Hospital and died there.

According to a GoFundMe page for the family, Macie was “the brightest little light” and a “princess to her three older brothers and her parents.”

Macie’s father stated that she loved cheering and died doing what she loved, “being with her team.”

According to a neighbor, the GoFundMe funds were used to cover funeral expenses.
