Autopsies have confirmed that the deaths of a man and woman in their Dover home this week were likely a murder-suicide, investigators said Thursday.
The attorney general’s office said Dover police found the bodies of Christine Navish, 58, and Sean Navish, 56, in their Dowaliby Court home Tuesday afternoon.
Autopsies were performed Thursday, and investigators said they determined that Christine Navish died of asphyxiation by smothering. Her death was ruled a homicide.
Officials said Sean Navish’s autopsy determined that he died of asphyxiation by suffocation and/or smothering, and his death was ruled a suicide.
The attorney general’s office said the investigation is ongoing, but the evidence gathered shows that Sean Navish asphyxiated Christine Navish before killing himself.
