After graduating from Juilliard, Driver began his acting career in New York City, appearing in both Broadway and off-Broadway productions. Like many aspiring actors, he occasionally worked as a busboy and waiter.

Adam Douglas Driver (born November 19, 1983 ) is an American actor. He has received many accolades, including the Volpi Cup for Best Actor, as well as nominations for a Tony Award, two Academy Awards, and four Primetime Emmy Awards .
Early life. Adam Douglas Driver was born on November 19, 1983, in San Diego, California, the son of Nancy Wright (née Needham), a paralegal, and Joe Douglas Driver. He has Dutch, English, German, Irish, and Scottish ancestry. His father’s family is from Arkansas and his mother’s family is from Indiana.
In 2013, Driver appeared in the drama Bluebird and the romantic-comedy What If. He played Al Cody, a musician, in the Coen Brothers ‘ black comedy Inside Llewyn Davis, and photographer Rick Smolan in the drama Tracks.
Jim Jarmusch ‘s drama Paterson was Driver’s final film of 2016, in which he played the title character, a bus driver who writes poetry. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and was released on December 28, 2016.
For his work on television Driver has received four Primetime Emmy Award nominations. He received three nominations for his performance in Girls from 2013, 2014, and 2015, in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series category.

You can never go wrong with a man’s best friend. Adam has revealed his love for dogs as he owns a Rottweiler-Pit Bull mix named Moose. He got Moose from his wife as a birthday present and the wholesome pictures of them together show how great their relationship is.
Since the school of his dreams denied his application, Adam enlisted in the Marines. He made big accomplishments during his time, being ranked as a Lance Corporal. Much to his dismay, he was medically discharged after he dislocated his sternum while mountain biking. He served for about two years and eight months.
Adam grew up in his mother’s hometown of Mishawaka, Indiana. Once he graduated from high school, he applied to Juilliard to do drama but was unfortunately rejected by the school. Once that happened, what did Adam do after he graduated high school? Inspired by a national tragedy, he joined the Marines.
There is one positive outcome that Adam’s father and stepfather brought upon him. As he sang in church choir, Adam has a knack for it. He did some singing in the Coen brothers directed movie Inside Llewyn Davis and also plays the piano. Oscar Isaac, who also appeared in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, stars in the film too.
Even though Adam has a private life, he has mentioned his relationship with his family. He has a strained relationship with his biological father, as well as his stepfather, both of who have worked as church preachers. His argument with his stepfather even resulted in Adam considering to join the Marines.
A director can make or break an actor’s performance. In the case of Adam and Noah Baumbach, the actor and director respectively have frequently collaborated and make a pretty good team. They both worked in films including Frances Ha , While We’re Young , The Meyerowitz Stories, and Marriage Story. We just might see another collab someday.
As a teen, Adam was the true definition of a misfit. He told M Magazine that climbed radio towers, put objects on fire, and co-founded a fight club with his high school. The latter was inspired by, of course, the movie Fight Club. He certainly has changed throughout the years!
